Dr. Victoria Chen is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine and Cohen Children's Medical Center at Northwell Health in New York. Dr. Chen specializes in early childhood development, developmental screening, and the neurodevelopmental care of children with congenital heart disease. She leads the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Clinic at Cohen Children's, a multidisciplinary program providing long-term developmental surveillance for children with complex cardiac conditions. This clinic is part of the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcomes Collaborative, a national organization focused on understanding the brain-heart connection and optimizing brain health outcomes for children with congenital heart disease. Dr. Chen serves on the Executive Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Early Childhood, where she co-chairs the Research Committee and contributes to national clinical guidelines and policy statements for the AAP. She has published in Pediatrics, the Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, and the Journal of Pediatrics, and has authored chapters in widely used pediatric reference texts. She is thrilled to join the National Alzheimer’s Summit both as a professional who promotes pediatric brain health in her clinical and advocacy work and personally as a caregiver for her mother-in-law.
