Francesca Farina, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago and a Senior Fellow with the Global Brain Health Institute at Trinity College Dublin. A neuroscientist by training, she examines factors shaping life-course brain health, with a focus on women’s health and sex-specific dementia risk. She co-leads the Next Generation Brain Health research project, which aims to identify risk and resilience factors for brain health in young adulthood. Beyond research, Dr. Farina collaborates with patient advocacy and community organizations to promote brain health literacy and reduce dementia-related fear and stigma.
