Diana Shulla Cose

Founding Executive Director, Lorenzo's House

Diana Shulla Cose is the Founding Executive Director of Lorenzo’s House. Former primary carepartner to her husband, she is the mom of two sons and an entrepreneur, visionary, strategist, and innovator. When her husband, Lorenzo, was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer’s, Ms. Cose recognized a massive lack of connectivity and resources for families affected by younger-onset dementia. She set out to solve this societal problem and in 2021 founded Lorenzo’s House, a nonprofit social impact organization designed to empower the daughters, sons, children, and families walking with younger-onset dementia. Her previous experience as an educator and school leader prepared her well for this venture. For over 25 years she served as the founder and president of a network of public schools in Chicago, where she led the scaling of a model from a single classroom of 2 teachers with 35 students to a network of over 250 staff, 2,300 students, and 5 campuses. Ms. Cose brings passion, experience, sincerity, and insight to her work.
