Angela F. Williams is the Immediate Past President and CEO of United Way Worldwide, where she led a global network serving 48 million people across 36 countries. Raised by civil rights activists, she has devoted her career to service, community-driven solutions, and resilience. Ms. Williams is bi-vocational, serving as an ordained Christian minister, attorney, and civil society executive. Her 30-year leadership career spans the nonprofit, public, and private sectors, with key roles at Easterseals, YMCA of the USA, Sears, Roebuck & Co., the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Senate Staff for the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy. She is the author of Navigating the Age of Chaos, a book offering strategies for engaging with accelerating societal upheaval. Ms. Williams serves on the boards of AARP and Candid, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and OpenAI’s Ethics Council. Recognized by USA Today as a 2025 Woman of the Year, she holds degrees from the University of Virginia, the University of Texas School of Law, and the Virginia Union University’s School of Theology.
