Perla Castro is a project management expert and passionate advocate for Latino families impacted by Alzheimer’s. She serves as the Interim Executive Director of LACARE (Latino Alzheimer’s Coalition for Advocacy, Research, and Education), where she leads initiatives to raise awareness, reduce stigma, promote community participation in research, and expand access to culturally responsive care. Drawing from her lived experience as a caregiver to her mother, Ms. Castro brings a deeply personal and community-centered lens to her work. She actively collaborates with academic and public health institutions on community-based research focused on early detection, caregiver support, and health equity. She is also the founder of Alpha PM Consulting, where she provides bilingual project management training and consulting to corporations, nonprofits, and public agencies. Her work bridges strategy and compassion, helping both systems and families navigate the Alzheimer’s journey with clarity and dignity.
